About
Sri Guru Nanak Dev Education Trust: A Legacy of Vision and Excellence
Sri Guru Nanak Dev Education Trust, Dalewal (Hoshiarpur), was established
with the divine blessings of Baba Puran Singh Ji to promote education in
technical, professional, and teacher education domains, particularly in regions
where access to quality higher learning had remained limited.
Under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Er.Parmjit Singh, Founder
Chairman of the Trust, the institutions functioning under its aegis have
achieved remarkable progress in academic innovation, infrastructure
development, and institutional excellence. His untiring efforts, foresight, and
commitment to nation-building have ushered in a transformative educational
movement in Hoshiarpur and its adjoining areas.
In recognition of his extraordinary contributions to education,
Er.Parmjit Singh has been honoured with several prestigious national and
international awards, including the Rashtriya Rattan Award, the International
Gold Star Millennium Award (Kathmandu, Nepal), and the Best Citizen of India
Award by the International Publication House, New Delhi. He was also conferred
with an award for Educational Development and Nation Building by The Economic

the Bharat Excellence Award from the Friendship Forum (Regd.), New Delhi,
presented by Ch. Randhir Singh, Hon’ble former Governor of Sikkim, in
recognition of her exemplary dedication to quality education, ethical

Trust’s enduring mission of transformative education and nation-building.
Collaborative Academic
Endeavour
With its unwavering focus on quality and innovation, the Sri Guru Nanak Dev Education Trust has fostered a landmark academic collaboration between its two leading teacher education institutions — Guru Nanak College of Education, Dalewal, and Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Education, Beghpur Kamlooh (Mukerian).
This partnership represents a collective stride toward promoting research-oriented culture, teacher development, and interdisciplinary academic dialogue. The establishment of a joint research journal under the Trust’s banner embodies this shared vision — to encourage scholarly writing, evidence-based educational practice, and the exchange of transformative ideas.
